For TravelersTravel to Toronto

The realistic logistics.

For US patients, the currency advantage covers most of your travel. For international patients, Toronto Pearson is direct from every major hub. Three nights, one surgery day, then home — here's how it actually goes.

CHAPTER IWhy Toronto

Three reasons patients fly here.

Reason 01

The currency advantage.

For US patients, the CAD–USD exchange typically delivers a 25–35% effective discount on the procedure cost — enough to cover the flight, hotel, and meals on most cases, with margin to spare. The same surgeon, the same standards, at a meaningful discount.

Reason 02

Direct from every major hub.

Toronto Pearson is one of North America's busiest airports — direct daily flights from every major US city, every European capital, and most of Asia and the Middle East. The clinic is a 30-minute drive from Pearson; private car can be arranged from the terminal.

Reason 03

Canadian medical standards.

Every physician practising in Ontario is licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario — Dr. Jones is CPSO #31693, in good standing. Canadian regulatory standards are among the strictest in the world. None of it requires taking our word; the register is public.

CHAPTER IIYour Trip, Simplified

Four steps, start to finish.

  1. Step 01

    Send photos (free).

Submit five photos and a few details through the photo consultation form. Dr. Jones reviews personally within 48 hours and sends back a written assessment: candidate or not, recommended technique, estimated graft count, cost range. No pressure, no countdowns.

  2. Step 02

    Book a Zoom (free).

Once you're decided, book a thirty-minute Zoom — directly with Dr. Jones, not a coordinator. We talk through expectations, answer questions, and confirm the surgical plan. By the end of the call, you have a confirmed surgery date.

  3. Step 03

    Fly in the day before.

Arrive at Toronto Pearson the day before surgery. Hotel check-in, a light dinner, an early night. We can arrange airport pickup if you'd prefer not to drive yourself. Most patients land between 1pm and 8pm the day prior.

  4. Step 04

    Surgery day, then home.

Surgery starts at 9am, finishes by 5–6pm depending on graft count. You return to the hotel that night, take it easy for one more day, and can fly home on day three. Most patients are back to desk work the day they land.

CHAPTER IIILogistics

Hotels, transport, stay length.

01 / Logistics

Where to stay.

Three partner hotels within a ten-minute drive of the clinic offer Toronto.Hair patient rates: a quiet boutique option, a full-service business hotel with executive lounges, and a long-stay suite property for travellers bringing family. Booking links sent with your surgery confirmation.

02 / Logistics

Getting around.

Uber and Lyft are reliable from Pearson and downtown. Pre-arranged airport pickup is available on request — black-car service, direct to your hotel. The clinic itself is a short ride from the partner hotels; we book your morning car the day before.

03 / Logistics

How long to stay.

Three nights is standard: arrive day before, surgery day, recovery day, fly home morning of day three. Five nights is recommended for international patients flying eight-plus hours, to allow a buffer day and a check-in visit before departure.

CHAPTER IVSurgery Day

A long day. Worth it.

You arrive at the clinic at 8:30am. You meet Dr. Jones (or, if you’ve already met him on Zoom, you reconnect) and we sit you up at the mirror to draw the hairline by hand. You see it before any graft is placed. We adjust until it’s right.

Local anesthesia is administered. You’re comfortable, awake, and watch a film or read or doze while we work. Lunch is brought in around 1pm. Most patients describe surgery day as a long quiet day rather than a stressful one.

By 5–6pm you’re finished. We bandage the donor area only — the recipient area is left open to breathe. You head back to the hotel, eat a quiet dinner, sleep on a special pillow we provide, and the next day you can fly home if your itinerary permits.

CHAPTER VFor US & International Patients

The two questions we get most.

For US patients

Toronto vs the US, plainly.

Procedures are quoted in Canadian dollars, with HST already included in the quoted figure — no surprise tax line on surgery day. The Canadian–US exchange rate typically gives US patients a meaningful effective discount versus comparable senior-surgeon work in the US, and Pearson is a 1-hour direct flight from most northeast US hubs. Most US patients find the all-in cost (procedure + flight + hotel) lands materially below comparable US senior-surgeon clinics. We’ll quote your specific case in writing after you send photos.

For international patients

Visas, customs, language.

Citizens of most Western countries can enter Canada visa-free with an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) — apply online before you travel; approval is usually instant. Bring your passport and the surgery confirmation letter we'll send you. Toronto is English-first; consultations can be conducted in English, French, Punjabi, Hindi, or Farsi where useful.
